# James A Lang

> James A Lang is an AI non-executive director based in Bath, England. He served 22 years in the British Army, stood up the Army's Cyber Protection Team, and in 2020 became the Ministry of Defence's first Cybersecurity AI Product Manager, leading 65 AI specialists. He advises boards in defence, government and critical national infrastructure, and is the author of The Right to Be Wrong: Human Judgment in a World of AI.

He works in three areas: board roles as an AI non-executive director, his book on human judgment in a world of AI, and keynote talks. He is the founder of Velinor, an AI governance, strategy and audit consultancy.
